If you’re lost for ideas, here’s a bunch of things happening over the long weekend:

Easter Stargazing

Experience the beautiful lights under the Gingin night sky at the Gravity Discovery Centre and Observatory.

WA’s leading astronomer Rick Tonello and his team will give you a tour of the stars in the night sky on Saturday April 20 and Sunday April 21.

The other aspects of the tour include an engaging presentation, a laser tour of the constellations, and a look through the telescopes to see a variety of different celestial bodies.

Fremantle International Street Arts Festival

Experience an outstanding show this Easter in the heart of Fremantle, on Friday April 19 to Monday April 22. The event promises “the historic streets of Fremantle will burst to life as performers transform the city into a world stage”.

This year marks the 20th anniversary since its establishment and the festival displays an open-aired theatre with a “weird and wacky show.”

The famous Freo traits of the cafe strip, alfresco dining, restaurants and pop-up bars, promise plenty of food to for you and your friends, to indulge in as you enjoy the show.

Perth Easter Parade

Celebrate the true meaning of Easter, while joining others in a parade from Stirling Gardens, on Sunday April 21 at 2:30pm.

Christians annually visit the town, to celebrate the life of Jesus and enjoy a peaceful Sunday walk. The parade finishes at Wesley Uniting Church, a place for people worship and rejoice.

This colourful free event showcases, live music and guest performers to entertain the parade.

Duxton Hotel Easter Carvery Buffet Lunch

Why not get together with family and friends, to top off your long weekend with good company and great food. The buffet is available at $60 per adult and $30 per child aged between 3 – 12 yrs.

The Easter Carvery Buffet Lunch is open from 12 pm, this Sunday April 21 at the Duxton Hotel, at 1 St Georges Terrace, Perth.

Yoga and Pilates Sessions

Get treated to a free Yoga and Pilates session at the Cathedral Square lawn on St Georges Terrace, Perth.

Ahead of the Easter break, this event’s aim is for people to unwind and relax. The free  event runs from Monday April 15 to Thursday April 18.

Yoga events will be held on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and Pilates will be on Wednesday at 7am.

Then between 11:30am to 1:30pm, people are welcomed to enjoy a free massage.

Disney Party

The Court Hotel celebrates one of the biggest parties of the year during the Easter long weekend on Sunday 21 April.

Guests are welcomed to come with their friends and dress up as their favourite Disney characters while dancing all night long.

Drag Queens Alexas Armstrong and Scarlett Adams will be performing magical sets during the night, as well as free karaoke hosted by Feminem from 5-8pm.

$10 pre-sale tickets are available, and tickets will be required for karaoke after 8pm.

This event is people over the age of 18 only.

Easter Reggae in Scarborough

If you’re into a different way to enjoy the Easter long weekend. The Indi Bar at the Indian Ocean Hotel in Scarborough is holding a reggae party on Sunday April 21 at 8pm.

Jolie and Cocco will be the special guests on the night while Os Cabra Roots, Gringos and Scarborough Roots will playing the tunes.

Tickets are $10 and this event is people over the age of 18 only.
